In one of the Hindu legends, God of Wind created 4 breeds of horse; Vlahok, Archanai, Sintop Mano Mai, and Ussadorn. All 4 originally were able to fly. One day, the 4 horses trespassed into Lord Shiva's garden in an attempt of meeting with 2 female horses the Wind God gave to Lord Shiva's wife (Uma Thevi). The heaven guard saw and caught the 4 trespassers to Lord Shiva. Lord Shiva punished the 4 horses by cutting their tendons, the parts which allow the 4 horses to fly freely. Afterward, teh god sent 4 horses down to earth and command them to be vehicles for humans forever.
